What Should i Take? - What do i need? - How will i get there? It is finally here, you have waited all winter and the time has come to start making arrangements for your annual carp fishing holiday to France. If its your first fishing trip to France you may be very anxious about what you should or shouldn't take. Here at E'tang de Campas we want you to be excited about your fishing holiday and not get stressed worrying about minor things that can be sorted out with a little pre-planning. Below are some of the many things that we get asked as well as some information we think will make booking you fishing holiday to France that little bit easier. Q. What Do i need to Drive in France? A. You need to have a full UK driving License and Insurance to drive in Europe. You will also need a warning triange, Hi-viz vest, spare bulbs and a GB Sticker. Although not essential we would suggest european breakdown cover is also taken out Q. Do i need to bring bigger/better rods, reels etc? A. No not necessarily, if you are a carp fisherman in the UK generally the rods & reels you use there will be more than ok. We do suggest however a minimum 12lb breaking strain line and baitrunner reels. Q. Will i have to pay toll fees in France? A. Unfortunately yes, the typical toll fees from Calais to our carp lake is around 30 Euros Q.
